Zebra Stripes

The picture of Randy Jackson of Zebra in Gallery - Live Performances was taken at the Hard Rock Cafe, Las Vegas which was one stop on his tour. I love this shot because the stage lights appear as stripes like a zebra only not black and white.
Randy Jackson and King Lizzard go back decades when they were working on an independant feature film in 1991 based on a screenplay written by King Lizzard. Here is a shot of King Lizzard and Randy Jackson at their reunion at the Hard Rock Cafe. Randy Jackson’s fans saw this picture on the web and flooded his website wanting to know where they could by the T-shirt he was wearing.

Background of Photo Shoot - Marcus, “The Edge”

Marcus has been in the entertainment business for many years as an actor and singer. The thing about Marcus is when he enters a room his presence fills it up and people literally stop what they are doing and follow him with their eyes. He commands their attention without saying a word. King Lizzard was looking for a front man to sing with King Lizzard’s Hearts of Darkness Band when he met Marcus. Seeing this phenomenon first hand prompted King Lizzard to sign him up on the spot. Marcus left the band for opportunities in San Antonio, Texas but stayed in touch.
After a few years he returned to Vegas to visit family. Before returning to Texas he asked for a photo shoot for publicity shots to promote upcoming projects. Marcus loves the camera and the camera loves him. He showed up with various uniquely Marcus costumes and a white guitar he was learning to play. Some of my favorite shots of this session are on display in Gallery “ Photo Shoot “ Marcus. In one shot, King Lizzard loaned him one of his stage performance guitars , a Les Paul Florentine Black Beauty.

Don’t even think about asking Queen Lizzard to take your picture for free!
Please be advised that Queen Lizzard is not interested in doing any freelance work, ‘consignment’ work or ‘work for trade’ (Unless, of course, you happen to be Rolling Stone or Time Magazine!).
She is not interested in taking on apprentices at this point.
She is not interested in doing Weddings, Anniversaries, Birthdays, Baby Pictures, High School Proms, your great aunt Zelda’s funeral or other personal events…she is an entertainment photographer.
She is not interested in paying publishers or art exhibits to display her work.
She is also not interested in flying to your institution, at her expense, to teach photography classes.
Do not send any inquiries of these natures as they will be immediately deleted without response.
